Best Undergraduate Research Award and Honorable Mention at the 2026 NDIA DVC Aerospace Conference

Temple University’s Counter-UAV research team was proud to participate in the Tech Expo at the 2026 NDIA DVC Aerospace Conference on 6/9/2026, Advancing the Future Battlespace: Unmanned Aerial Systems and Counter-UAV Technologies.
The team was honored to receive the Best Undergraduate Research Award as well as an Honorable Mention in recognition of its research and technology demonstrations.
Featured demonstrations included:
• OWL-Sight: Low-Altitude FPV Drone Detection System
• OWL-Strike: FPV Drone Engagement and Neutralization System
The demonstrations attracted significant interest from conference attendees and generated valuable discussions with members of the defense, aerospace, industry, and research communities. The opportunity to showcase cutting-edge university research and contribute to the broader Counter-UAV community was greatly appreciated.

Acknowledgment is also due to Connor Robert Beck, Henry Krumrine, and Rocco Haeufgloeckner, whose Senior Design Project produced the first OWL-Sight prototype and established the foundation for the system demonstrated at the event.
